Route

Discover the Nanos plateau in a unique way. The Nanos plateau offers a truly majestic view of the Vipava valley, reaching all the way to the sea. The trip includes a ride on the Nanos plateau and a stop at the cabin where, if open, you can get a refreshing drink and dig into their daily offer of local cuisine.

The package includes:

60 min trip | 25 km

From Eko koča Nanos, we head towards the Little Glacier, the route goes through the "deep forests" of Nanos. We stop with ATVs next to the forest path and go on foot (2 minutes' walk) to the small glacier. We stop there for about 10 minutes and then continue our journey towards Sv. Hieronimo church, along the way we admire unspoiled nature and fascinating views. At St. Heronimo, we stop at the viewpoint, where we can take photos as a souvenir (approx. 10 min stop) and from there we head back to the Eko koča Nanos, where we can drink coffee, drink beer, eat something, ride horses, sunbathe, etc.

From the Nanos eco-hut, we head towards the Little Glacier, continuing through the "deep forests" of Nanos. We stop with ATVs next to the forest path and go on foot (2 minutes' walk) to the Little glacier. Then we continue our journey towards the peak of Nanos (1246m above sea level). We park the ATVs 100m below and we walk to the peak, (max. 10 min walk). There we enjoy a wonderful views. After enjoying the view, we head towards Sv. Hieronimo, along the way we admire unspoiled nature and fascinating views. At St. Hieronimo, we stop at the viewpoint where we can take photos as a souvenir (stop approx. 10 min) and from there we head back towards the Nanos eco-lodge, where we can drink coffee, drink beer, have a snack, ride horses, sunbathe, etc.

Upon agreement, the trip can be upgraded, extended, and include other exclusive tours.

Recomendations

We recommend wearing long sleeves, pants, carrying a jacket just in case, and a backpack for personal belongings.
